And that makes me a little crazy.. -The walls are still a weird turquoisy color that I just can’t really like no matter how hard I try, but there’s no point in painting until we re-drywall the whole room.
If I can make one of these, then anyone can!.I started out with this extra piece of barn wood that I found in the garage.
Don’t have a fabulously weathered piece of history just laying around? You can use any plain board from the hardware store and stain or paint it, or you can even find a nice length of molding for a little bit of a fancier look.Easy and cheap..
I picked up these simple little hooks from Home Depot.I think they were about $2 for a pack of 2.. All I had to do was measure out where I wanted each hook and mark it off on the board.
Then I just drilled in a couple of screws for each hook and 10 minutes later it was done!.
Why do they even sell pre-made boards of hooks in stores?Of course, that leads to more weeds, but I feel like it’s really important for me to be able to play around and add a new plant into our gardens whenever the fancy strikes and with the fabric, that’s just really difficult..
So last year we took the fabric out of this front garden bed, right beside the driveway, and we were left with this.. We also removed some shrubs that we didn’t like.We were left with quite a few plants, but also a lot of empty spaces and a lot of weeds.
Chris poked in this random hummingbird garden ornament that he found in the garage and that just added to the sad-looking mess.We decided to tackle the garden a couple of weeks ago.
